Hair Gossip | How To Wear Commercial Hair

July 30, 2014

Ladies and Gents, when wearing commercial hair, it should look natural.  I see so many people wanting to hang with the JONES', like really.  Okay so here is a tip:
  • Your tracks or bond should not show
  • Your color should match the extensions or blend
  • Purchase hair that matches your texture, not what you wish you had
  • Cleanse the hair as if it were you own, weekly, not once (1) a month
  • Purchase quality hair whether it's imported or or pre-packaged
  • Choose hair colors that compliment your skin, not colors you wished you could wear
  • Choose a length of hair you can easily care for, not just keeping up with the Kardashians
  • Make sure you seek a professional for proper installation of commercial hair
  • Be sure to protect your edges, since they are fragile

It's time someone says something. We can't keep allowing our sisters and brothers to wear horrible hair or look untamed.  Someone has to educate you on how to look and they should educate you on wearing extensions. Hair Etiquette | Hair Gossip

July 29, 2014

HAIRGOSSIP,

Let's talk hair, Healthy hair, Commercial hair, Damaged hair, Natural hair, Locs, etc  .Hair has so many forms, but let's start with " HAIR ETIQUETTE":

PROPER SHAMPOOING:

  • Do you know how to shampoo your hair ?
  • How often should I shampoo my hair ?
  • What type of shampoo should you use ?
  • Is your hair oily, dry, damaged, normal, or combination ?
  • Are you allergic to sulfur?
  • What type of conditioner do I use?
  • How should my hair feel ?
  • Do you drink enough water ?

These are just a few questions to think about when taming your hair.

But here's the answer: Shampoo hair daily if you are caucasion w/ oily hair, ethnic is every 3 to 5 days based on the oil build-up in the hair. Don't purchase shampoos due to the smell, choose your shampoo according to the texture and scalp.  Many products have sulfur in them, so be sure to read the label and know the names for sulfur in case of allergic reaction. Choose the conditioner on the same product line as your shampoo choice.  After cleansing and conditioning the hair,, it should feel softer and detangle easy, if not I suggest your XXperienced stylist to clip those ends.  Stay tuned, because this hair thing has so many avenues.
